Alaskan wilderness setting for film club movie

OCEANSIDE – The 2014 film "Wildlike" will be shown by the North County Film Club on Sunday, Aug. 9, 3 p.m. at the Carmike Theater (formerly Digiplex) Oceanside, Mission and College.

The film focuses on a troubled teenage girl who is sent by her mother to live with her uncle in Juneau, Alaska. When their relationship sours, Mackenzie tries to return to her mother. She gets lost in the Alaskan interior and turns to a loner backpacker. Together, they cross the wilderness and discover sanctuary in the last frontier.
