Computer classes offered for seniors in May

FALLBROOK – The Senior Care Computer Learning Center, one of four programs of the Foundation for Senior Care, will offer a new series of computer classes in May for beginner to advanced users.

The Computer Learning Center is staffed by a group of dedicated, knowledgeable volunteers otherwise known as the “senior geeks,” said Elise Mack, volunteer co-coordinator of the computer learning center along with Russ Hatfield.

The May classes will run from May 6 to 31 and be held in the Tom Warner Learning Center located at the Foundation for Senior Care offices, 135 S. Mission Road, Fallbrook. Class signups will be held Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at that location.

Classes are taught by senior peers and are hands-on.

The schedule of classes offered is as follows:

Mondays – May 6 through June 3 (due to Memorial Day)

9:30 to 11:30 am - File Management

1 to 3 p.m. - Fun with your Point & Shoot Digital Camera

Tuesdays – May 7 through 28

9:30 TO 11:30 a.m. - iPad and iPhone Applications

1 TO 3 P.M. - Digital Photography

Wednesdays - May 8 through 29

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Basic Computer

1 to 3 p.m. - Genealogy & the Internet

Thursdays - May 9 through 30

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Word Processing Basics

Fridays - May 10 through 31

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Photo Gallery and MovieMaker
