Fallbrook High multi-class reunion slated for weekend of Aug. 23-25

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook High School Class of 1973 will celebrate its 40th class reunion the weekend of Aug. 23 through 25 and invites surrounding classes to join in the fun.

Festivities will begin Friday, Aug. 23, at 4 p.m. with a barbecue hosted by Bill Binder and Anne Sims at 808 Hitching Post Rd., in Vista. Barbecue meat provided; participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share and their own beverages. Event includes live band, pool, fun, and games. Donation of $10/person helps cover band cost. On Saturday, Aug. 24, the main celebration starts at 6 p.m. at the Valley Fort Steak House, 3757 S. Mission Rd., Fallbrook, on the back patio. Casual atmosphere, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and no host bar. There will be a live band from 8 p.m. to midnight in the bar. Cost: $25/person in advance; $35 at door. RSVP deadline Aug. 5; space limited. On Sunday, Aug. 25, at noon, a picnic will be held at Live Oak Park. Participants should bring their own food and any dish they would like to share potluck style. Extra paper goods, ice, and beverages appreciated.
