'Iraq for Sale' to be screened

The Fallbrook Democratic Club will soon screen the documentary “Iraq for Sale,” an examination of war profiteering. Acclaimed director Robert Greenwald (“Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price,” “Outfoxed” and “Uncovered”) takes viewers inside the lives of soldiers, truck drivers, widows and children who have been changed forever as a result of profiteering in the reconstruction of Iraq. “Iraq for Sale” uncovers the connections between private corporations making a killing in Iraq and the decision-makers who allow them to do so. Running time is 75 minutes.

Club business will also be discussed, as well as the venue for the Fallbrook Democratic Club Super Bowl gathering set for Sunday, February 4.

The club meets Thursday, February 1, at 7:00 p.m. at the FPUD Board Room, 990 East Mission Road. For more information, visit http://www.fallbrookdemocraticclub.com or contact Club President Bob Hamilton at president@
