Los Padrinos fundraiser happens Sept. 15

FALLBROOK – Los Padrinos are holding their eighth annual One & Only Evening of Revelry dinner and silent auction fundraiser Sept. 15 to benefit the Fallbrook Child Development Center (FCDC) after ongoing state budget cuts.

In 2005, the center’s board of directors recognized the need for ongoing support of the center and thus created “Los Padrinos” - the Godparents. Anyone who loves and cares about these children and their families can become a “padrino.” Call the center at (760) 728-5402 to learn more or to attend the fundraiser.

Reva Reece, director of the FCDC, was surprised this August when the board of directors honored her 25th anniversary as director with orchids and a candle printed with their wishes.

The center has been in operation since 1975, and is dedicated to quality early childhood education and day care for children ages 1 to 5 years from low income families.
