Newcomers to learn about local history

FALLBROOK – Representatives from the Fallbrook Historical Society will be speaking at the Fallbrook Newcomers Club's meeting on Thursday, Feb. 11.

Fallbrook has a fascinating history, starting with the Reche family who settled in this area in the 1800’s. Looking around Fallbrook, one can see many signs of its past in the old historical buildings that still exist.

Fallbrook Newcomers is a non-profit social organization devoted to promoting friendships among new residents in the community and providing interesting activities in which they can participate. Membership is open to first-time residents who have moved to Fallbrook, Bonsall, DeLuz, or Rainbow within the last three years.

They meet at the Fallbrook Methodist Church at 1844 Winterhaven Rd. If interested, come to the meeting on Feb. 11 at 9:30 a.m., check out their website at fallbrooknewcomers.com or email [email protected].
