Public invited to AAUW’s Oct. 8 membership meeting

FALLBROOK − The Fallbrook branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) invites the public to join them from 10 a.m. to noon at their Oct. 8 membership meeting for what is certain to be an instructive presentation by the League of Women Voters.

The objective is to empower voters by enhancing awareness and understanding of upcoming ballot measures. The event will take place at the Reche Schoolhouse at 1319 South Live Oak Park Rd.

Susan Alpert, the president of the Temecula Valley Branch of AAUW recently installed the Fallbrook branch's 2016-2017 board of directors. The new board is comprised of Elizabeth Leader, president; Jeanie Curtright, first vice president, programs; Teresa Fiske, second vice president, membership; Bobbie Miller, third vice president, AAUW funds; Kathy Bierbrauer, corresponding secretary; Susan Nelson, recording secretary and Margaret Singleton, finance officer.
