Rally against quarry nears

On Sunday, March 18, at 1:30 p.m., area residents will gather at Temecula’s Pat Birdsall Sports Park to rally against the proposed Liberty Quarry. Everyone living in the surrounding communities is invited to be a part of a “living sign” that tells Granite Construction “NO QUARRY!” Photos will be taken from the air.

Organizers want to remind everyone that this is not a county issue but a “human” issue. This is one way to tell Supervisors what their constituents don’t want!

Attendees are asked to wear their orange hats or pick one up at the park. There will be speakers, music, t-shirts, bumper stickers, hats and more.

To get to the park, take 79 east off I-15. Take Pechanga Parkway past the casino to Deer Hollow. Turn left. Great Oak High School is on the right; the park is on the left.

This event is sponsored by SOS-Hills and Rainbow Against The quarry and supported by some Fallbrook residents. For more information, call Kathleen Hamilton at (951) 676-6912 or Jerri Arganda at (760) 451-2413 or visit http://www.nogravelquarry.com.
