Fallbrook Woman's Club wins at art festival

FALLBROOK — Members of the Fallbrook Woman’s Club were recognized for their artistic and creative abilities at their March 8 meeting, “Honoring Our Own.” The women competed with 12 clubs of Palomar District #24 of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs at the February 12 annual Festival of Arts held at the Escondido Woman’s Club. Of the participating ten members from the Fallbrook Woman’s Club and one student, all ribboned in one or more of the events, which included painting, photography, literature, student art, quilting, crochet, paper crafts, dolls, jewelry and sewing. Among the ribbons won were four Best of Shows, ten first places, 11 second places, three third places and three special awards.

Best of Show winners will proceed to the state level of the California Federated Woman’s Club and compete with clubs throughout California.
