FALLBROOK − Sculptor Bill Catling was honored at a Fallbrook Library reception on May 31. Catling, who is a professor of art at Azuza Pacific University, has his work on display in the reading patio until June 24.
At the reception, which was sponsored by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library, the sculptor gave a short presentation about his work and also how to view art in general.
His prescription asks the viewer to keep an open mind, and to evaluate the idea of the artist, the materials, the workmanship, the presentation, and what the artist saw as his audience.
