AAUW celebrates with Open House

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) celebrated the beginning of a new year of activities and programs with an open house.

Members and guests gathered at the home of program chair Kathy Bierbrauer to enjoy brunch and to learn of the plans for the upcoming year: the ever-popular mentoring program with AVID at Fallbrook High School; Tech Trek, the summer science camp for girls held at UCSD; and the mahjong tournament. In addition, the movie review and book discussion groups were detailed by group leaders.

Fallbrook AAUW provides scholarships for graduating seniors and funds the Tech Trek program with its fundraising activities. Its mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
