Attorneys associate in estate planning practice

BONSALL — Longtime Fallbrook resident and attorney Carl Morrison, whose office is located in Bonsall’s River Village, has entered into an association with Andrea Aston, attorney at law, who recently moved to Pauma Valley from the Bay Area. Their primary area of practice is estate planning, conservatorships, trust administration, probate and elder law. Other practice areas include real estate and land-use planning.

Carl and his family moved to Fallbrook in 1976 after he graduated from DePaul Law School in Chicago under a Marine Corps program. At Camp Pendleton he served as a prosecutor, defense counsel, administrative law attorney and legal assistance officer helping service members and their families with a variety of legal matters. Carl also received an advanced degree in administrative law and economic regulation from George Washington University before he retired from the Marines in 1986.

All six of the Morrison children — Bob, Stephanie, Mike, Steve, Jim and Christie — are graduates of Fallbrook High School, where Carl served on the Board of Trustees in the early 1990s. Carl also served on the Fallbrook Revitalization Committee and other community groups. His wife, Mary, has been a member of National Charity League, was an active volunteer in the elementary schools for many years, and participated in other community activities.

Andrea, a former professional horse trainer and competitive rider, moved to the area from Walnut Creek to be closer to her sister, who lives in Bonsall. Both still own and raise horses in the community. Andrea worked as a paralegal specializing in estate planning and probate while attending John F. Kennedy University School of Law. Upon her graduation in 1996, she became a partner in Peterson & Aston, A Law Corporation, located in Walnut Creek, and has since continued to focus her practice in estate planning, conservatorships, trust administration and probate.
