County seeks input from community

The County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation this weekend will distribute a community wide needs assessment via US Mail to more than 60,000 residents in the Fallbrook, Spring Valley and Lakeside communities.

The objective of the needs assessment is to gather public input to help guide development of future recreation programs and facility improvements in order to meet the evolving needs of these communities.

Department of Parks and Recreation Director Renée Bahl said input from the community is an important component of providing direction for department’s future recreation operations. “This is an excellent opportunity for us to hear what the residents would like to see offered at their neighborhood community centers and recreation facilities,” she said. Additionally, the written survey will include an invitation to receive a program discount at a county operated community center.

Return postage is pre-paid. Please note that surveys need to be returned by January 31 to qualify for a program discount.
