Democratic Club news

FALLBROOK — The Democratic Club of Greater Fallbrook recently elected officers for 2005 and began work on identifying specific goals for the year. New officers are: Connie Freese, president; Kit-Bacon Gressitt, vice president; Michelle Bain, secretary; Cathie Music, treasurer; and Joe Crews, political action chair.

The first order of business for the Fallbrook Democratic Club is to create and maintain an interactive Web site that will serve as a source of vital information to the entire community. The Web site will include general information on government and politics, a calendar of events, information and editorials on important issues, and links to other Web sites of interest. The Web site will be formally launched at the club’s next general meeting, to be held at the FPUD board room on Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. Details will also be available in the local media after March 30.

Also of immediate interest to local Democrats is the development of a broad campaign to inform and educate the public on the various proposals surrounding Social Security and Medicare. Details on this informational campaign will also be announced in March.

Anyone interested in more information about the Democratic Club of Greater Fallbrook and its activities should contact Connie Freese at (760) 451-991 or Kit-Bacon Gressitt at (760) 728-4956.
