Department of Parks and Recreation reviewing needs surveys

The County of San Diego’s Department of Parks and Recreation is reviewing the responses to its Community Needs Assessment Survey.

Approximately 60,000 surveys were sent out to residents of Fallbrook, Lakeside, and Spring Valley, the three communities in which the county operates community centers. The Department of Parks and Recreation received approximately 6,000 surveys.

“The response was actually a lot more than we had anticipated, and that’s great,” said Amy Harbert, the public information officer for the Department of Parks and Recreation.

Harbert estimated that approximately 2,000 of those responses were from Fallbrook residents.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is tabulating the results in-house and will analyze the responses. The analysis is expected to be completed in late spring.
