Fest films enter final judging process

FALLBROOK – Ronald Shattuck has reported that after seven months of considering 197 submitted films, judges of the 2013 Fallbrook International Film Festival will lock down their top picks this week.

“International films from Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom alone make up 75 of these entries,” said Shattuck.

“Based on early feed back from the judges, it is estimated that 55 to 70 of the submitted entries, both full features and shorts, comedies, drama, musical, romance, documentaries and student films will qualify for the three-day event which includes workshops, music and parties,” he continued.

As part of Fallbrook’s ‘April in Fallbrook’ happening, the film festival will take place April 5, 6 and 7 at the Digiplex Destinations Cinemas (formally UltraStar Cinemas) in River Village Plaza, Bonsall.

To learn more, an updated film festival website will begin to show film listings starting in mid-February.
