The People Who Make North County Special

I’m always encouraged with the remarkable spirit of people who make North County a special place to work and call home.

I try to acknowledge as many of these individuals as possible with letters of congratulations and thanks. If you looked back on those letters, you’d see a common thread of people who care deeply about their community and have contributed in many different ways. Let me share with you some of those from Bonsall in the last year.

Cheryl Miller and Stacy Sharpe of Sullivan Middle School were featured in the newspaper for a great program called “In Harmony With Education.”

Kathy Ford & Denise Gillen began a new business called Road-runner Errands.

Ron Jonason, photographer for the Village News had an incredible shot of a rainbow after one of our many storms.

Thomas Cheek became the new Vice President at Community Bank in Bonsall.

Kathleen Lawson of Bonsall Elementary School was honored as a County Teacher of the Year and was featured in a newspaper article on her “Art Attacks Class.”

Bonsall resident, artist Tony D’Aula had his work featured in an exhibit in Solana Beach.

Were we able to know each contribution from the community, the list would be as long as the number of people who work in Bonsall or call it home. Thank you to people in the business community, parents, students, church leaders, fire fighting professionals, and every person who makes Bonsall a shining example of what it means to be community. Thanks for investing your time and talents in such an extraordinary way.
