Congressman Issa Named Chairman Of House Government Reform Subcommittee On Energy & Resources

House Government Reform Committee Chairman Tom Davis (R-VA) recently named Rep. Darrell Issa Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy & Natural Resources.

“The talented, hard-working and dedicated Congressman Issa will make a great addition to Government Reform as the new Energy and Resources Subcommittee Chairman. His extensive experience as a technology leader in the private sector will play a big part in the Committee’s efforts to root out waste, fraud and abuse in certain government programs while protecting our environment and natural resources. It’s a pleasure to have him aboard,” Chairman Davis said.

As chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy & Natural Resources, Rep. Issa plans to closely examine national energy policy and examine U.S. policies relating to the development, exploration, conservation, production, and consumption of electricity, oil and natural gas, hydroelectric power, nuclear power, and all aspects of renewable energy. The subcommittee will also conduct oversight responsibilities on natural resource issues including water and air quality, access to public lands, and federal land management.
