The Poway Kiwanis Club recently held a Padres Spring Kickoff at Doubletree Golf Resort. The Fallbrook Kiwanis Club was in attendance. Tim Flannery and John Weisbarth from San Diego Channel 4 were moderators. Padres Coach Rob Picciolo, first baseman Phil Nevin, outfielder Brian Giles and outfielder Dave Roberts made several clever remarks. Questions were taken from the guests.
The Fallbrook Kiwanis Club members attending were Tom Myers, president; Mike Choate, superintendent, FUESD; Lea Curcio, assistant principal, La Paloma Elementary School; Rudy Curcio; and Wil Gower.
