PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hello Everyone!

Could the rains be over? Maybe not: “April showers bring May flowers” is a tried and true axiom, so we will probably get a bit more rain. One thing about the rain, it certainly does green up the grass, but it also brings millions of weeds and flies and mosquitoes! It is time to get out our citronella.

The San Luis Rey Downs Golf Resort will be ready for our golf tournament May 13th . Other than the east end of Golf Club Road still being covered with rushing water from a San Luis Rey tributary, the golf course looks good. We should have a great turnout for the tournament.

The March Sundowner was well attended and we thank River Village Properties, Bud Alles and Una Breadmore for the delicious pizza and terrific ice cream sundaes. Our speaker, Robert Marshall, from the Airport Authority was very informative and interesting. His biographical page was truly impressive. Most Bonsall folks don’t seem to want a new airport nearby.

Our next Sundowner is scheduled for April 14th at the La Estancia Inn, out on Old Hwy 395, between the Pala Mesa Resort and the Mobile station. The food for this Sundowner will be from Da Giorgio Restaurante Italiano (located within the Inn), so I know we will have a good turnout!
