“Things I Love about my Restaurant” by Cynthia DeCindis, La Patrona de Rio Rico
1. The Boys: Sergio, Fidel, Silvano, Corey and Marlene; O Lucky Me to have had their support all these years.
2. La Cocina: The Heart of Rio Rico. We have had the same family of cooks since opening.
3. Our House Margarita: We really do have a secret!
4. The Patio: Moonlight, Sunshine, Lazy Afternoons, Romantic Evenings, Beautiful Views; Nowhere Quite Like It!
5.Our Weekend Specials: They add something different to our Mexican Cuisine; Lobster Tails – broiled tender and juicy Baby back Ribs – “sell outs.” Paella – fresh sautéed shellfish served over saffron rice
6. Spinach Quesadilla: Still an all-time favorite!
7. Our colorful Mobile Sculpture dancing in the breezes; created especially for Rio Rico by local artist Sylvie Harwin.
8. Using canola oil, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and real sour crème.
9. Mojo de Ajo Dishes: We sautee onions and garlic with choice of chicken, mahi mahi, shrimp, or large scallops. Have this with a caesar salad (instead of rice and beans) and you have a great low-carb treat!
10. Our Neighbor, Ultra Star Movie Theater: We’re supporting our little theater (through these competitive times) by offering $4 movie tickets with purchase of lunch or dinner entrée
11. Our Guests: The Best Neighbors Anyone Could Ask For.
