What was the holiday buzz? Your hair stylist knows!

There aren’t many around town who get a better cross section of conversations than barbers and hair stylists. Many of us find our few minutes of quiet time in the chair suitable for discussing light subjects that seem totally insignificant.

They are, but after a Christmas season of cutting hair for all types and ages of people, these scissor-wielding workers know a lot about what’s going on. I decided to find out what the buzz was around our area this past couple of weeks.

It was a pretty good year, it appears. Men shopped later, and women more often. A lot of the kids say they got “just about everything they wanted.” Here are a few of the observations I picked up on this first day back to work in the new year.
