Wild Hair Salon celebrates fifth anniversary

Who says you can’t mix business and friendship? Pat Dahmer, Julie Prest, and Chris Phillips have created a successful business off of their successful friendships by doing what they all love to do. They opened Wild Hair Salon in Fallbrook on March 24, 2000, and are about to celebrate the business’ five-year anniversary.

“We all worked together in a different salon and decided we wanted to open our own place, and we did,” says Dahmer. The women were such popular stylists that some of their clients from the previous salons they worked in followed them to Wild Hair Salon. “It took off with a bang,” says Dahmer. “The five years have gone very fast. Fallbrook is a great little community to have a business in.”

However, Dahmer admits that the real key to their success has been in their workers. “It has been a very successful adventure. Our girls have been with us almost the entire time and we just have a great crew and great clients.”

Dahmer has been a hair stylist for almost 25 years. All three women attended De Loux School of Cosmetology in Vista. They also make sure to always stay in touch with new styles and trends by attending different shows and classes throughout the year. “We have to stay current and stay competitive,” Dahmer explains. “We have a very nice looking salon and a very friendly atmosphere. We all get along and we are very people-oriented. Good times make the work time fly.”

There are four other stylists who rent chairs at Wild Hair Salon, as well as three manicurists. The salon services all ages of people, both men and women, and also has a private pedicure room. “Our manicure staff has a lot of experience. They do great nails,” ensures Dahmer. In addition, some stylists and manicurists are available for weddings and will even go onsite.

“We really want to thank our clients for their continual support,” says Dahmer. “We are in love with what we do and we want to keep doing it. We look forward to another five years.”
