Career day scheduled for AAUW Avid girls

The AAUW mentors and the AVID girls of Fallbrook High School will present a Career Planning Day featuring members and guests who have had or are currently engaged in a career. The event will take place April 13 at 1 p.m. at 2568 Dos Lomas. A variety of careers will be featured, such as legal services, education and engineering. The emphasis will be on the education and training required to be engaged in these careers. The AVID girls will have an opportunity to converse with a representative of each of these on a one-to-one basis. In addition to the support the students receive at the high school, the Fallbrook Branch of the American Association of University Women provides social and cultural opportunities for the girls enrolled in the program.
