Last year the program was nearly eliminated. Imagine no more FHS band in the veterans Day Parade or the Christmas Parade or at football games. Imagine no more Fallbrook band and color guard to represent our community in county and state competitions! Imagine no school music classes for our children! The new teacher Mr. Victor Torres (who is part time only) and the Parent Band Boosters have launched a new web site to promote the band and accept community donations. Please help SAVE THE BAND! Visit us online to learn more http://www.fallbrookhsband.org/ Reply Karen September 2, 2011 at 10:13 am Fallbrook Marching Warriors ( FHS band) is hosting a March-a-thon to help SAVE THE BAND. We hope many from the community will support the band by sponsor one or more of the band members or come out and raise money for them by marching with them. Look for more information soon or contact me at [email protected] Reply Marta September 2, 2011 at 11:46 am Our son is a freshman this year and, therefore, new to marching band. These students have been hard at work since August 15 practicing, practicing and even more practicing. We were able to see the fruits of their labor after their two week band camp and they were wonderful. Thank you to Mr. Torres and the band for a glimpse of what is to come!!!! We’ll be at the march-a-thon and would love to have lots and lots of people marching with us and the band. I suggest the band make a facebook page and post to the FUHS alumni page. There may be much support waiting there. Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
