Fallbrook High students are sewing for a cause

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook High School fashion department has just completed an extra sewing project for the community. The students were encouraged to sew small soft hats called snoods. These hats will be collected and donated to the cancer ward at Children’s Hospital during the summer and will also be handed out by the Asian Pacific Islander Club (APIC) students at the American Cancer society’s Relay for Life. Many APIC members and fashion students came in after school once a week to work on the hats. The fashion department held an open sewing day afterschool from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays.
