Healthy cooking

Instructor Elizabeth Monacelli is a renowned concert violinist who has performed with the San Diego Symphony and toured with performers including Natalie Cole, Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson and others. Her career came to a crashing halt on Valentine’s Day 2003 when she collapsed of a heart attack, stroke and liver failure. Elizabeth changed her life by researching and developing a healthy nutrition regime, which, doctors say, reversed her ailments. Join Elizabeth as she prepares such dishes as the Tokyo Burrito, Rocking Choco Smoothie and Cranberry Harvest Nut Bars. Learn how to make old favorites as well! There will be a large array of samples to try. Class will be conducted in a four-week session on Thursday evenings, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., February 10 to March 10 (no class will be held March 3).

Space is limited in classes and pre-registration is required. Call the Fallbrook Community Center at (760) 728-1671 for more information or stop by 341 Heald Lane, Fallbrook.
