FALLBROOK – Fallbrook resident Jacob Robinson recently received his masters degree from University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
Robinson was a 2009 graduate of Fallbrook High School and graduated from UCSD with a bachelors degree in biology. He continued working with the Mark Tuszynski Lab, which is by invitation only. The lab focuses on the most cutting edge stem cell research in the world.
His thesis was "Optimizing Trophic Support of Neural Stem Cell Grafts for Spinal Cord Injury." This was obviously a very personal topic as Robinson was injured in an automobile accident in Fallbrook in 2008. He is currently taking a year off before pursuing medical school.
