Tests, lip syncs and leadership

Otis Lennon School Ability Testing (OLSAT) was conducted this past week for our eighth-graders. This test tells your student his or her School Ability Index (SAI). Across the nation, approximately 68 percent of students will achieve an SAI between 84 and 116. This score is a predictor of school learning ability by your student. To put it more plainly, it will tell how well your child learns. Our district uses the test for placement in the Honors program at the high school. I hope you make it into the program you are hoping for!

Hey, students, your rehearsal for Lip Syncs is on March 11 and 12. Keep practicing your dances and songs, because the finals will be on March 14. There is not much time left to rehearse, so have fun.

The students in leadership are putting together a cultural week for our school. It looks like it will take place May 2-6. We will be having activities that are from different countries and cultures. The last day of the week, we will celebrate a world unity day filled with fun and games. Be prepared for our fun-filled adventures!
