Bluegrass concert to be held in Carlsbad April 23

Fallbrook area bluegrass fans will be glad to hear that a special bluegrass concert is planned for Saturday, April 23, in Carlsbad at the Carlsbad Village Theatre. This concert is being presented by the San Diego Bluegrass Society, which is a 501©(3) non-profit. The SDBS sponsors a variety of activities and concerts, including a school outreach program bringing free music to the schools, a kids’ music academy at the Summergrass Festival in August at Guajome Park near Vista and concerts like this one. This concert presents one of the top nationally recognized bluegrass bands (Chris Stuart and Backcountry) as well as San Diego’s best American band, The 7th Day Buskers, who won the San Diego Music Award for “Best Americana” band for 2004.
