Brandon Gallery announces Small Works Art Show winners

FALLBROOK – On Oct. 26, Brandon Gallery announced 10 winners in its sixth annual juried “Small Works Art Exhibition.”

Jo-Lind Eckstein, Brandon’s chair for the event, said the Best of Show winner is Diane Adams for “Roots and Rocks.” Janice Cipriani-Willis took first place with “Adam.” Other winners include: second place, Noreen Ring for “Overnight Rest Stop,” and third place, Elizabeth Taft for “Light on the Stream.” Honorable mentions went to Jim Behrman for “Little Red,” Vita Sorrentino for “Solo,” and Penny Fedorchak for “Matelejus First Bloom.”

Three category winners were Best Landscape/Still Life, Angela Koenig for “Above Shanghai;” Best Portrait/Figure, Richard Stergulz for “Tranquil,” and Vita Sorrentino, Best Abstract/Surreal for “Country Road.”

Eckstein said the gallery will host a reception and awards ceremony Saturday, Nov. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. when the juror for the competition, Annette Lotuso Paquet, an art professor in the San Diego Community College system with an extensive educational and award/honors background, will discuss criteria for selecting the winners.

All juried art will be featured in the gallery and available for purchase Nov. 1 to 30. The gallery is located at 105 N. Main Ave. and at http://www.fallbrookbrandongallery.org.
