Byram book signing event announced

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook resident Eva Byram will hold a book signing event for her first book, “Parallel Roads, Opposing Directions,” on July 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. during the ‘Taste of Fallbrook’ event. The book chronicles the fictional, intimate and turbulent lives of its two main characters, Julia Arady and Robert Kardosh, with factual history as background.

About the book: From their early years Julia and Robert’s lives ran parallel but the choices they made took them in different directions. The storyline draws comparison between a reasoning mind that sees goodness as the ultimate goal in life and a mind that refuses reality, embraces evil and allows it to guide him.

Autumn of 1956 saw the uprising against communism in Hungary. Thousands escaped and scattered to all four corners of the globe. Julia and her father settled in New York while Robert, to escape his past, went to London.

In his mid-forties, on the brink of insanity, Robert decides the only way to achieve absolution from all the evil he has done in his life is to find Julia, convinced she holds the key to his salvation.

About the author: Eva Byram and her father escaped from Hungary during the 1956 uprising. After living three years in Austria and three years in New York, they settled in Los Angeles. For the past three years Eva and her husband, Bruce, have resided in Fallbrook.
