Casey Connor and Lila Nelson will perform in Fallbrook April 28

Innovative performers and singer/songwriters Casey Connor and Lila Nelson will bring their distinct style, stories and harmonies for the pleasure of area residents to Heritage Hall, 122 Beech Street, Fallbrook, on Thursday, April 28.

Lila Nelson performs with the energy of a true poetic intuition. Her songs move from traditional folk to contemporary folk/Americana to jazz, blues and ballad, always finding their home inside of the rich stories that they tell. Her latest CD, “Still Got the Farm,” was self-produced with her husband and partner Ian Caliendo, who also plays mandolin, guitar and mbira.

Casey Connor performs an eclectic mix of high-energy folk, blues, jazz, ‘world’ and other music. His songs range from the personal-sensitive-guy-process ballad to earthy songs about home and politics, to the more enigmatic, existential fare. He combines intricate, rhythmic guitar playing with a clear tenor voice.

Connor and Nelson weave their potent songwriting styles together with harmonies, whistles, harmonica and the occasional piano.
