Champagne Dixie to perform free concert at Fallbrook Library

FALLBROOK – Champagne Dixie will perform a free program of early jazz music on Thursday, May 19, at 7 p.m. at the Fallbrook Library.

Champagne Dixie is a seven-piece band which is currently the house Dixieland band for the Lawrence Welk resort. The band has over 300 collective years of experience. Individually they have performed on over 20 jazz cruises and over 250 jazz festivals in the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe, including a jazz cafe in Moscow.

The band is composed of Phil Kirk, trumpet; Ken Dillard, keyboard; Jim Fiedler, clarinet; Lee Fugal, trombone; Ken Powell, drums; Jim Goodwin, banjo; and Stan Kling, tuba.

Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening of classic jazz and a bit of humor. The library is located at 124 S. Mission Rd.
