Elks versus Moose lodges face off in barbecue event for charity

VISTA – The Vista Elks Lodge will host an event called “Up in Smoke” on Sat., Sept. 14, from noon to 4 p.m., designed to allow Elks and Moose lodges to compete against each other at the barbecue grill. Proceeds will benefit the Elks National Foundation, which helps build stronger communities.

Judging of the barbecue competition (rules apply) will take place at 11:30 a.m. Fun will include bocce ball, horseshoes, music, and raffles. ue com

A meal of pork shoulder, ribs, slaw, and beans will be offered for $15 (adults) and $5 (kids 5-12); with children under 5 free.
