FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook High School choral ensembles have once again received high marks during their festival season. All three choirs competed at SCVA (Southern California Vocal Association) festivals, which are regional events. Ensembles receive ratings from professional adjudicators and musicians. The ensembles also competed at Festivals of Music, which is a national festival, again receiving ratings as well as rankings.
At the SCVA Festival, Warrior Choir received an “Excellent,” and Women’s Advanced Vocal Ensemble (WAVE) and Madrigals both received “Superior.” At the Festivals of Music all three ensembles received first place in their category, and the same rating as the previous festival. The Madrigals have one more festival to attend in May, and are working hard to ensure they receive a third “Superior” this year.
The vocal music department will have its final concert of the year on May 30 at 7 p.m. in the Bob Burton Center for Performing Arts.
