Latin jazz sizzles at Moonlight Amphitheatre

On Monday evening, July 25, guitarist Peter Sprague and his exceptional group of musicians and singers will present “Artistry in Latin Jazz” at the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista. Blending jazz and a lively Samba rhythm, the band plays an array of selections from Brazilian music to American pop, as well as their original jazz works.

“Artistry in Latin Jazz” is part of the “Summer Jazz at the Moonlight 2005” concert series, presented jointly by the Big Band & Jazz Hall of Fame Foundation and the City of Vista. Upcoming concerts will feature jazz icon Ernie Watts & Friends on August 15 and the Big Band & Jazz Hall of Fame Orchestra on September 25.

The outdoor amphitheatre, located at 1200 Vale Terrace in Vista’s Brengle Terrace Park, offers free parking and has ample reserved and orchestra seating as well as lawn seating where people may picnic or provide their own lawn chairs.

Tickets can be purchased through the VisTix box office, 651 E. Vista Way, or ordered by phone by calling (760) 724-2110.
