Lewis and Rozum in concert with Guest House Band August 10

FALLBROOK — Since forming a music partnership in 1986 when Tom Rozum joined Laurie Lewis’ acclaimed Grant Street Band, they have recorded 12 albums and performed around the globe. These Grammy-nominated artists (for their 1995 album “The Oak and the Laurel”) are widely regarded as among the leading lights of modern bluegrass and are highly prized by their peers as sidemen and producers.

International Bluegrass Music Association executive director Dan Hays calls Laurie one of the pre-eminent bluegrass and Americana artists of our time. Tom Rozum is compared to bluegrass great Tim O’Brien, with his earnest tenor voice and crisp licks on mandolin and guitar. In 2004 Lewis and Rozum released their third duo album “Guest House,” a versatile and engaging offering of love songs, laments, social commentary and freewheeling fun. They appear in Fallbrook Wednesday, August 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Hilltop Center, 331 East Elder. Tickets are sold at Major Market and at the door. Call (760) 723-7255 for information.
