McDowell to speak at Fallbrook Pregnancy Resource Center annual fundraising banquet Feb. 23

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Pregnancy Resource Center invites supporters of life to attend its eighth annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1405 E. Fallbrook Street. The guest speaker will be educator, author, and apologist Sean McDowell.

McDowell is a gifted communicator with a passion for reaching the younger generation with the Gospel message. He connects with youth in a tangible way through humor and stories while imparting hard evidence and logical support for viewing all areas of life through a Biblical worldview. He is the head of the Bible Department at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools where he teaches philosophy, theology, and apologetics.

In 2008, McDowell received the Educator of the Year award in San Juan Capistrano. He is the co-author of four books.

There is no charge to attend this event, but reservations are required. Please call Miriam Kirk at (760) 451-9337 to RSVP. Seating begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and the program at 6.

  1. Question?   January 24, 2013 at 4:25 pm

Is the last paragragh of the article correct in saying, "there is no charge to attend this event" although there is a dinner and it’s to be a fundraiser? Is the Fallbrook Pregnancy Resource Center just looking for donations from those who can afffford to give? Is this open to all ages, particularly the adolescent age bracket, since it sounds like he has the potential to target this particular age group in a good way? Thank you.

The terms "hard evidence" and "Biblical worldview" used in the same sentence? Can someone say oxymoron?

So Jan is it good to take the life of an unborn child but bad to save it and give it a home?

@3 An embryo is not an unborn child

An embryo becomes a fetus, then newborn, baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult.

An egg becomes a caterpillar, then eventually a beautiful butterfly.

It’s called the cycle of life. The keyword here being LIFE.
