Old Bricks, New Lights, Temecula Goes Live!

The stars will be aligned to shine brightly in Temecula this fall. The City of Temecula will begin celebrating life through the arts at the new 362-seat, state-of-the-art Old Town Temecula Community Theater on Main Street in the heart of Old Town Temecula. There will be six days of celebration during the grand opening festivities scheduled from October 4 through 9. Festivities will start daily at noon. Please be sure to save the dates!

In harmony with the City of Temecula’s motto, “Old Traditions, New Opportunities,” the grand opening theme is “Old Bricks, New Lights, Temecula Goes Live!” The mission of the new theater is to foster the development of community arts and entertainment by presenting quality theatrical experiences and artistic expression and encourage a life-long appreciation for the performing arts through patronage and participation. The Old Town Temecula Community Theater will offer new and exciting performances to patrons every month! A wide range of performances to satisfy all age groups and tastes are currently booked and many more artists will be added throughout the coming year. Temecula Presents, the producing arm of the theater, will present new acts, national tours and established artists.

The new theater is accessed through the historic Mercantile Building, which will host continuous entertainment featuring jazz, blues, classical music and more on its club-style performance stage. The gallery in the Mercantile will house a visual arts exhibition of prominent Temecula Valley artists and there will be an arts and crafts festival juried by the Arts Council of Temecula Valley in the Jeanne Burns Courtyard. In addition, theater tours will be offered daily during these six days of celebration.
