PEO "Bil"

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Chapter WK of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) recently held a dinner party — catered by Brothers Bistro of Fallbrook — for 48 at the Pala Mesa Village clubhouse. This was a party with the members’ husbands, the “BILs” (Brothers-in-Law). PEO is a sisterhood, founded January 21, 1869, at Iowa Wesleyan College. It operates a college for girls and provides scholarships for girls entering college. Chapter WK’s founders included the late Jean Gower, who was a PEO member for over 50 years. Marilyn Kimberly is the current president of the Fallbrook Chapter WK.

During the refreshments, a skit by Don Foulkes was presented with the assistance of Orolie Gurber. The skit was about two strangers who enter an elevator that gets stuck. The strangers survive the excitement and then go to dinner. The skit received many laughs.
