Quality home entertainment a specialty of HDAV

If you are interested in learning the difference between DLP, LCD and plasma technology, including which brands offer the most vibrant color or the deepest black, you’ll want to talk to Fallbrook resident Patrick Ingram.

Ingram has 25 years of experience in the industry, including the responsibility of managing 18 Tweeter stores in California, Arizona and Nevada.

A resident of Fallbrook for three years, Ingram has recently opened a new store in Temecula known as HDAV, which stands for Higher Definition Audio/Video. A second store will open in the near future in San Marcos.

Ingram’s goal is to provide something distinctly different from the typical “big box” electronic stores by offering more knowledgeable counseling to customers on the myriad choices for their entertainment viewing pleasure.

“We offer more value to the consumer,” Ingram said. “Where big box stores are obligated to carry lower-end models, we can evaluate the brands and cherry-pick the best products.”

Offering brand names such as Pioneer Elite, Mitsubishi, B&W, Integra, Sony, Yamaha, Hitachi and many others, HDAV is the place to visit for top choices.

Ingram found it frustrating working for the “big box” chain stores because he knew a variety of equipment models were available that he didn’t have access to.

He said many customers were looking for the high quality sound and picture found in certain models, like Pioneer Elite or Mitsubishi Diamond.

Ingram equates the difference between the better models and the lesser ones to the difference between buying a Lexus and an economy car.

Ingram said manufacturers know that if a high quality unit is placed next to a base model from Korea, it will negatively affect sales of the less expensive/lower quality model, and manufacturers need to move a large quantity of those.

“You won’t find lower-end Korean-manufactured product in my store like you find in the big box stores,” he confirmed.

Good-looking choices with high quality performance is what can be found at HDAV, but with that, Ingram said, comes vast knowledge of various product lines.

“We’re able to design and install the larger the larger systems that offer complete solutions for the customer,” Ingram said. “This is something that the ‘big boxes’ cannot accomplish. It’s a matter of training. Manufacturers know that the big box stores can’t keep up the level of training necessary, given the high turnover of front line employees.”

“Our business is different,” Ingram said. “We have a mature, highly trained staff that understands the difference between brands and can take the time to educate customers in a professional atmosphere so they can make an educated decision that will match their family’s needs.”

Ingram’s stores are providing a lot of equipment for newly constructed homes and remodels where customers want tasteful and high quality home theaters, custom-designed wall units, in-wall installations, whole house audio and more. Of the latest trends, Ingram said one in particular comes to mind.

“A very popular cabinet right now is one that looks like a hutch and hides a large, flat panel TV until it is summoned to rise from the top, where it extends to a position above the cabinet for viewing,” he explained.

At HDAV, Ingram said his staff will gladly provide free in-home consultation to help the customer make the perfect choice for their space requirements and lifestyle. They will also price match any competitor on a similar model.

Combining the best brands at guaranteed low prices with exceptional customer service, HDAV brings a new level of shopping to the home entertainment market.
