Randy Travis to performs for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County

One of country music’s most recognized names is coming to the Pala Casino to perform a benefit concert on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County. The concert will be held on Thursday, October 20, at the Pala Events Center. Tickets are still available at the $125 price range, which includes the pre-concert pool party and VIP seating.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of North County is very excited about Randy Travis performing on behalf of their organization. All proceeds from the concert will be used to support youth development activities at their eight locations. The club operates sites in Fallbrook, the Pala Indian Reservation and Bonsall along with five sites at elementary schools. Membership at the club reached 2,200, with an average daily attendance at the combined sites of 600 per day.

The mission of the organization is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from challenging circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive and caring adults. Activities at the clubs include:

• Character and leadership development (Youth of the Month and Youth of the Year)

• Education and career development (Power Hour, computer education)

• Health and life skills (Diabetes Awareness Program, Fitness Authority)

• The arts (music, theatre and visual arts)

• Sports, fitness and recreation (sports leagues, game room, special events, etc.)

All programs are designed to instill a sense of belonging, a sense of competence, a sense of usefulness and a sense of power or influence. When this strategy is implemented, self-esteem is enhanced and an environment is created which helps boys and girls become the best they can be!
