Scampi's to hold Oktoberfest for Katrina

FALLBROOK — Scampi’s Restaurant and Bonsall Rotary are putting on Brigitta’s famous Oktoberfest for the benefit of the Katrina disaster victims on Tuesday, October 11, from 6 to 10 p.m. This is a community event; first come, first served. Fifteen of the $25 will be dedicated to disaster relief. Brigitta Hurd, famous for her German dishes for many years and now specializing in Italian Cuisine, will be presenting the “Ye Old German Favorites,” a bratwurst plate with sauerkraut, German potato salad, roll and butter with coffee or iced tea and a cookie! Music will be provided by the popular German entertainer Juergen. Tickets will not be sold in advance.
