FALLBROOK – Fallbrook resident Tyler Smith, 16, was named the second place winner in the Best Overall category (“Above & Beyond”) in the International Adam Lambert Video Contest.
Lambert asked his fans to create videos set to his upcoming new single, “Trespassing,” from his current album of the same name, which debuted at #1 in May.
The second place win makes Tyler’s entry # 1 from the U.S. out of hundreds of entries. The other winners in the Best Overall Category are from New Zealand (first) & Canada (third).
Tyler’s video has received over 13,000 views on YouTube, since Lambert tweeted his video as one of the overall winners. Tyler stars in the video, and did all of the video editing himself. He loves music, video editing, and animation.
“He just seems to learn things so fast,” said his parents Don and Ali Smith, who were amazed when at the age of two years Tyler understood the concept of the “Back to the Future” movies, which they believe sparked his interest in movie and television production, as well as video editing.
