Woman's Club presents murder mystery

FALLBROOK – A murder mystery luncheon, “Who Killed the Roving Romeo of the Red Feather Ladies?” will be presented May 18 at 1 p.m. by the Fallbrook Woman’s Club at the clubhouse, 238 W. Mission Road. The cost is $22.

During the course of the two-hour event, actors will move throughout the audience, performing. Lunch will be served midway through the play, then the other half of the play will resume after lunch.

The play is about a man found dead, shot in the heart, clutching a red feather. When the president of the Red Feather Investment Club calls a meeting to order, she reveals that eight members of the club have all been dating the same man and each planned to marry him.

The man was a con artist who planned on cheating members of the club out of their money and investments. Now the audience must decide whether the murderer is Gloria Somered, the club president, a suspicious retired attorney; Ruby Red Soprano, an upbeat former cheerleader; Tiffany Hilton, a shy and studious book worm; Lady Diamond Worthalot, an egotistic and selfish society snob; Sapphire Blue, the southern belle; clumsy Lana Homesly who is prone to accidents; or pill-popping, hypochondriac Mindy Lowhanded.

At the end of the play, audience members get to vote whom they think is the murderer. The answer will be revealed by private investigator Della Mason.

Seats are limited. Tickets can be purchased by sending a check to FBWC, P.O. Box 208, Fallbrook, Calif. 92088, or fallbrookwomansclub.org. For more information, contact Shirley Ledda at (760) 728-8234.

All proceeds directly benefit the club’s various charities and scholarships that the club supports.
