Braille Institute offers free program in Fallbrook for people with fading vision

atch becoming increasingly difficult to see? If your vision is fading, Braille Institute can help. Beginning Friday, May 6, Braille Institute will offer a free program from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Fallbrook Senior Center, located at 399 Heald Street, in Fallbrook.

The program is designed to teach people how to remain independent despite loss of vision. Participants will learn new ways of doing daily tasks such as managing the home, how to use visual aids to maximize remaining vision and how to receive talking books through Braille Institute’s Library Services. For more information, or to sign up, call Vicki Zimmerman-Fox, Community Outreach Coordinator, at (858) 452-1111, Ext. 5033. Classes end July 22, 2005.
