Fallbrook Health Care Foundation visits Methodist Church

The Fallbrook Health Care Foundation (HCF), a non-profit organization, was formed in 1979 to support Fallbrook Hospital and has since provided over $2,000,000 to purchase equipment and for repairs. With the acquisition of the hospital by a for-profit organization in 1998 the role of the HCF changed. Local private citizens fund the foundation through private donations and bequests. A volunteer board administers the foundation and an executive director oversees its activities and programs. The foundation’s current executive director is Betsy Levering.

The foundation currently has nine outreach programs. The programs are: the Fallbrook Adult Day Care Center, the Care Advocate, the Foundation “CARE VAN,” Health Care Resources, Project Care, Fallbrook Recovery and Education Center, Trustee Charitable Gifts, Facilities Use with Senior Net and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.

Director Bob Wright and Director of Resources Renae Rasmussen are making presentations to organizations of Fallbrook explaining the role of HCF and asking for the public’s suggestions. The first presentation was made to the Pricilla Circle of Fallbrook United Methodist Church. The presentation was well received by the 20 attending the briefing.
