Healthy Woman anniversary gala May 21 features Gillian Larson of "Survivor"

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Hospital will celebrate its Healthy Woman Program’s sixth anniversary with a special dinner and presentation on Tuesday, May 21 at Pala Mesa Resort. The event will begin with a social at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and a presentation “Dream it. Believe it. Prepare for it and Do it!” featuring Gillian Larson, motivational speaker and former “Survivor” reality show contestant. The cost for the presentation and dinner is $30.

Larson says has never satisfied her appetite for adventure and travel despite her wide array of life experiences. She has traveled through 46 countries and all but a few U.S. states, much of it backpacking. This adventurous “granny” can climb and rappel 4,000 foot mountains and swim with the Great Whites. She is versatile and competitive by nature and has been awarded several academic and athletic honors.

She was born and raised in South Africa, and currently lives with her husband in Temecula. Retired after working as a registered nurse for 41 years, she is now devoted to making a difference in people’s lives. An inspiration to young and old, her audience will walk away inspired and motivated to go for their dream, because “they can.”

Space is limited. RSVP by May 10 to (760) 731-8143 or at http://www.fallbrookhospital.com/healthywoman.
