Garden Club's youth program a success

FALLBROOK — Several years ago, Fallbrook Garden Club installed a small garden at La Paloma Elementary School and started a junior gardening club. Over the years the garden and the youth program have grown and the after-school activity now involves nearly 100 students. Dedicated garden club volunteers and the generosity of several local merchants have made this project successful. The newest addition is a refurbished greenhouse complete with potting tables and gravel path. Southwest Boulder and Stone donated the materials for the path, which was recently installed by Dave Ashton, Paul Croy, Paul Hokeness, Reed Polhemus and Jim Sciarra.
